Coleslaw is an underrated side dish that goes with many meals. We decided to make a unique, refreshing, and crunchy twist that will be the talk of your next meal! If you like teriyaki and pineapple you are sure to be in for a treat! We love adding the Crunchy Topping right before digging in, but it's only optional for this recipe.
Ingredients:
Coleslaw
1 Cup Shredded Green Cabbage
1 Cup Shredded Red Cabbage
1/2 Cup Shredded Carrots
1 1/2 Cup Chopped Pineapple
3 Tbsp Pineapple Juice
1/2 Tbsp White Vinegar
1 1/3 Tbsp Big Belly Rubs - Teriyaki
Crunchy Topping
1/4 Cup Butter
1 Package Dry Ramen Noodles - broken into small pieces
2 Tbsp Sugar
1 Cup Sliced Almonds
1 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
2 Tbsp Big Belly Rubs - Teriyaki
Process:
Coleslaw
Mix cabbage and carrots into a bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Combine slaw sauce and slaw mix.
Crunchy Topping
Melt butter on medium heat.
Add the ramen noodles and coat in melted butter.
Mix in sugar and stir frequently enough to prevent noodles from burning.
Once browning starts add the sliced almonds and sesame seeds.
Mix in Big Belly Rubs - Teriyaki.
Sautee until browned and put into a separate bowl to rest for 5-10min before serving.
Add your desired amount to the slaw (or salads) and enjoy!
